I have experienced and come through overwhelm at various points— including middle school, high school, college, law school, non-profit sector work, corporate work, small business work, entrepreneurial work, caregiving, and most recently as a working mother. Moving to the other side of overwhelm has always been a passion of mine. This is because I enjoy having a full plate even if that comes with challenges. In turn I desire to handle every challenge in the best way.
My self-care methods have always *felt* lovely. Yet energy work has brought me rejuvenation far beyond spa days and evening routines. The practitioners I have trained under have made a huge difference in how I engage my days. The methods I enjoy using on myself and with clients feel empowering, efficient, and effective, whether engaging daily life moments or while navigating escalating challenges.
After going through programs with Dr. Sue Morter, Dr. Bradley Nelson, and Claire Zammit, I knew guiding people in these modalities was part of my reason for being. These approaches can bring a person from the brink of burn out into empowerment in a few sessions.
A turning point for me was when I felt so overwhelmed—my energy pulled in too many different directions—that by the end of the day I couldn’t even remember what I needed to do before bed or for the next morning. I turned to energy work to revitalize myself throughout the day and before bed, so that I could feel refreshed and ready for evenings, mornings, and big days!
I love sharing these techniques — working with folks to have days full of engagement and also accomplishment that can be enjoyed.
